is a Data & AI thought leader with over ~25 years of experience in the technology, consumer goods, pharmaceutical & diagnostics and manufacturing industry. Omar has a proven track record of generative business value using data & AI. He has successfully created data & AI strategies and has a proven track record of leading global data & AI teams in large multinational organizations across many industries.

Omar has been in data & AI leadership positions, recently working as Global Head of Data & Analytics / CDAO for Givaudan. Before joining Givaudan, Omar worked at Roche for 3.5 years leading the BI & Analytics team for Roche Diagnostics. Omar spearheaded the implementation of data mesh for Roche Diagnostics & before joining Givaudan he was driving the overall platform strategy for Roche Informatics. During the tenure of 10 years at Novartis, Omar delivered global impact by leading commercial analytics initiatives, empowering 30k+ associates with actionable insights. He co-created standardized KPIs with global and regional leaders, launched Novartis’ first commercial DS/AI initiative in 8 weeks, and built the foundation for an omni-channel digital analytics ecosystem.
